Welcome to the fascinating world of Internet websites. You have shown an interest in the services we offer and the following information will help to guide you should you choose to continue. It's not daunting at all, we give full technical support, we expect you have other things to do than worry about software. What is needed is a 'theme' for your website.
This is the process to develop your site. The cost, in staged payments so you can actually see progress, is £800. This cost can be reduced if you do more, it can increase if you require further options or add ons for your site. However this cannot increase without your prior knowledge and agreement.
A. If you so request we will send you a non disclosure agreement which we both sign before ideas are exchanged. This is a legally binding document within the UK, which ensures we cannot discuss or divulge your web site ideas with other parties, except where required and agreed to progress the project. This is not usually necessary for website ideas already in place elsewhere or a 'hobby' site where the main idea is a pastime and not a potentially profit making exercise. The cost is non refundable at £25 but the money will be taken off additional costs should you continue.
B. You supply your concept of how you want your site to look and operate. We will discuss this with you in some detail.
C. Upon approval we will invoice a cost of 60%.
D. Cleared payment places your site (not as yet visible to the public) on a server with a full 12 month paid for contract.
E. We invoice an additional 30%. Images as agreed are supplied and added to your site. The 'sign up' details your members will use are adjusted as required. We will discuss any further changes at this stage.
F. A final payment of 10%. Passwords are removed, your site becomes 'public'. A simple to use Administrator' page is supplied so you can control your site.
A joint venture allows both parties access to the Administrator page to make adjustments and monitor site membership levels.
So where is the income?
Sites generate income in a number of ways. You can have different membership levels, one with limited access for free, the other offering extra facilities or services at a subscription cost. Some sites rely exclusively on adverts. This can be very useful once the site is established. Others actuall sell various items at profit. You can combine all three if it works for your site! Some sites are hobbies where the income is not the main issue. Finally, you can develop the site and sell it.
How much can I make?
Somewhere between absolutely zero and a lot.
